With the help of the Pennyrile Area Development District and Murray State University, the Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission hopes to have an updated comprehensive plan completed within 12 months.

“We’re going to have a lot of work to do,” said Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission Chairman Brame.

PADD will map out Trigg County for $3,500, down from $4,500, and Dr. Tim Todd and the business department at MSU will do “top notch” work preparing the economic plan for an unknown amount that will be “very reasonable” and a “minimal cost,” and Tim Butler, the Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission’s “attorney of record,” will oversee the efforts, said Brame.

Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander has been quite helpful, indicating that the county and city will reimburse all relevant expenses, Brame said. He added that Planning Commission member Sharon Butts – who also heads the Cadiz-Trigg County Economic Development Commission – is talking with the TVA to enlist their help with economic data.
