Funeral services for Terry Lee McNichols, 66, of Cadiz, were held on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Lexie Bush Convention Center, Trigg County Recreation Complex.

The Rev. Kenny Rogers officiated and Becky Waldrup, musical soloist. Burial followed in the East End Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Terry McNichols died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Terry was a member of Linton United Methodist Church where he had served as Lay Speaker, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, Church Historian and UMYF Leader.

Terry retired from Trigg County School System where he was the Adult Education Director for many years. He had also worked at Trigg County Farmers Bank for 20 years. He was a member of the Trigg County Ham Festival Committee, Cadiz Lions Club, and served as coach for many years at Trigg County Recreation Complex.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill O. McNichols; his mother, Thelma Kingings McNichols Cate; brother Teddy McNichols; and grandchild Amanda Faye Gilbert.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sheila McNichols of Cadiz; one brother, S.W. McNichols (and wife Anita); two sisters, Faye Hainsworth (and husband John) and Sherry Morris (and husband William “Moose”), all of Cadiz; one daughter, Tatum Gilbert (and husband Todd) of Cerulean; one son, Jimmy McNichols of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren Tenley Gilbert, Madison McNichols, Lee and Brandy Gilbert, and Jason and Melissa Stagner.

Serving as pallbearers were John Bill Calhoun, Phillip Manning, Jeff Waldrup, Lee Austin Gilbert, Randy Ezell and Danny Hampton. Honorary pallbearers were Sammie McNichols, Billy Joe McNichols, Ricky McNichols, Greg McNichols, Colby Morris and Kyle Waldrup.
