Jeanette Mills died of natural causes at 11:35 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Princeton Health and Rehab Center in Princeton.
Jeanette was born on June 2, 1942, in Riverside, Calif., to the late Harold and Pauline Mayfield Pitts.
She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. She retired as a medical insurance claims examiner for Travelers Insurance Co. Jeanette was a member of the Homemakers Club, Quilters Guild and Trigg County Republican Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Paula Harmon.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Bob Mills of Cadiz; one sister, Pam McCellen; two brothers, David Pitts and Charles Pitts, all of Coffeeville, Kan.; one son, Mike Shoemaker (and wife Chery) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Angie LaPlante (and husband Joel) of Edmond, Okla. and Victoria Boyd (and husband Darren) of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren Chris LaPlante, Courtney Boyd, Kory Lynn Boyd, Brandon Boyd and Ashley Shoemaker; great-grandchildren Jackson LaPlante, Mackenzie LaPlante, Dawson LaPlante and Carsyn Slaughter.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Pitts, Mike McCellen, Roy Shoemaker, Joel LaPlante, Phil Howard and Jack Tomalwitz. Music will be provided by St. Stephens Catholic Church Choir and Angie Thone, organist.
