Our Summer Reading Program was a wonderful success this year. I would like to thank everyone who make it possible:

I can’t wait for next year’s program.

The Elcryss tree is dying, and the barrier known as the Forbidding that had protected the Four Lands from demons is crumbling. On a desperate mission, Elven sisters Arling and Aphen Elessedil make their perilous way into the dark land behind the Forbidding in search of the magical Bloodfire that can renew the Elcryss and rebuild the barrier.

“Screwed” by Eoin Colfer, this is the next adventure of Dan McEvoy, a down on his luck owner of a New Jersey club. Now she has no time to savor the victory of escaping from because he is back on her trail. Will she make it to safety? This is also in large print.

“The Long War” by Terry Pratchett, this is the second book in the Long Earth series. A new America called Valhalla grows restless under the controlling long arm of the Datum government, while all of the Long Earth is infused by the song of the trolls who are starting to react to humanity’s thoughtless exploitation, bringing humankind to the brink of war.
