Funeral services for William James “Jessie” Wilson, 93, of Cerulean, were held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Cave Spring Baptist Church. The Rev. James Edwards officiated. Burial followed in the Cave Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of the arrangements.

William died of natural causes at 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

He was born on July 24, 1920, in Trigg County to the late Eugene Wilson and Mammie Grooms.

William was the oldest member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church. He retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, where he worked as a trackman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Dixon Wilson.

William is survived by sister Agnes Radford (and husband George) of Cadiz; and two brothers, Tommy Wilson (and wife Zina) of Cerulean and Cecil Wilson of Cadiz.
