Funeral services for Janice Kay Skinner Hunter, 71, of Cadiz, were held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Larry Wilson officiated. Burial followed in the Futrell-Skinner Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz was in charge of the arrangements.

Janice Kay died on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Cadiz.

Janice was a teachers aid and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert A. Skinner and Gertie Ray Skinner; two brothers, Earl Boyd Skinner and Johnny Ardell Skinner; and three sisters, Myra Proffitt, Verna Mae Skinner and Azilee Thomas.

Janice is survived by her daughter Regina Hooks; three sons, Tim Hunter, William Hunter (and wife Glenda) and Dwight Hunter, all of Cadiz; 12 grandchildren, Kyle Ray Finley, Shaundra Finley, Haley Hooks, Mason Hooks, Laycee Hunter, William Allen Hunter, Michael Hunter, Allison Hunter, Chelsey Walker, Todd Fox, Joey Bond and CJ. Bond; several great-grandchildren and one nephew, William B. Proffitt.

Serving as active pallbearers were Tim, William, Dwight Hunter, Kyle Ray Finley, Mason Hooks, Al Sumner and Bill Proffitt. Memorial donations may be made to Pennyroyal Hospice.
