Trigg County High School’s volleyball team avenged an earlier loss when the Lady Wildcats knocked off Union County 3-2 Thursday.

The back-and-forth match opened with a 27-25 first-game win for Union. Trigg won the next two 25-23 and 25-21. Union took the fourth 25-19, forcing a decisive fifth game, which Trigg won 17-15.

The Lady ‘Cats held a record of 4-3 entering Tuesday’s home match against Todd County Central (results unavailable at press time). Trigg returns to action next Tuesday at 5th District rival Crittenden County.
