The Kentucky State Police obtained an arrest warrant on Thursday, Sept. 5, on Seth Hooks, 28, for the March 2008 murder of Harvey Choat, said a press release by KSP Trooper Jay Thomas.

Choat was found at his home on New Hope Road by a friend on March 18, 2008. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Trigg County Sheriff's Office received a tip about Hooks, and he was interviewed by the KSP and TSCO, said the report. The KSP obtained an arrest warrant based on that interview and on new evidence that connects Hooks to the murder, the report added.

Hooks was already lodged in the Daviess County Jail after having been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that reportedly occurred in Owensboro on Friday, Aug. 30, said a press release by Officer Michael Hathaway of the Owensboro Police Department.
