Trigg County Extension 4-H Agent Janeen Tramble said there were plenty of volunteers to teach the students about not only farm safety but all kinds of safety.
“Everybody doesn’t live on a farm, so we just want to do general safety,” said Tramble. “But we do have some farm safety, because because with this being a rural area, we are going to have some kids that have family that lives on a farm. You know, they don’t know what to do, because they weren’t raised there, so it’s really important to have the farm safety, and just regular safety.”
Safety stations this year included safety around farm equipment, safety around grain bins, water and boating safety, firearm safety, ATV safety, fire safety and bike safety, said Tramble.
