Trigg County Middle School’s softball team went 2-1 in three recent games.

Thursday, Trigg lost 3-1 to University Heights Academy. Madison Simpson drove in Trigg’s only run with a single, and Hannah Colbert recorded seven strikeouts on the mound.

Last Monday, Trigg won 3-2 against Caldwell County in extra innings. Simpson had an RBI triple, Jamaya Shemwell had a double, Emma Staples added two singles, and Logan Darnall had a single. Colbert pitched and recorded a pair of strikeouts.

On Sept. 5, Trigg topped Todd County Central 5-4. Shemwell had a single, and Colbert struck out 5 Lady Rebels.
