Golf splits at Hoptown, falls to Marshall County

Trigg County’s golf team played last Tuesday at Hopkinsville Country Club. The Wildcats finished with a team score of 158, losing to Hopkinsville and defeating University Heights Academy.

Trigg was led by Carter Sholar and Kullen Garner, who each shot 39. Cole Gardner and Nick Choate each finished at 40.

Last Monday, Trigg lost 183-186 to Marshall County.

Gardner led Trigg with a 36, followed by Jake Price and Jackson Vinson at 41 each and Garner and Sholar at 42 each.

Each school also fielded “B” teams in the match, with Trigg winning 155-160. Trigg’s scores wereGabe Nolcox 43, Will Allen 44, Matthew Skinner 46, Reid Kuberski 48, Braxton Oakley 50, Grayson Ford 53.
