Educational Foundation scholarships announced

The Trigg County Public Schools Educational Foundation has awarded $17,650 in scholarships to 23 2013 graduates of Trigg County High School who have plans to pursue advanced education in a variety of fields of study. The scholarships are presented from various scholarship funds established to honor individuals, groups or through other funding sources.

The Trigg County Public Schools Educational Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization managed by a board of trustees. The primary purpose is to provide supplemental support for the programs, scholarships, and activities of the Trigg County Public School District.

A donor may contribute to any of the established scholarships or projects of the Trigg County Public Schools Educational Foundation. Any individual or group wishing to establish other scholarships or projects is encouraged to do so. Contributions are tax deductible since the Foundation is incorporated as a non-profit organization in accordance with IRS regulations. The Imagination Library which provides a free book a month for every child from birth to age five is also under the umbrella of the Trigg County Public Schools Educational Foundation. Contributions to help continue this program can also be made through the Foundation.
