Several people were formally charged with crimes when the Trigg County Grand Jury met on Wednesday, Sept. 11, including two people who were accused in a June robbery at Timbers Steakhouse.

Lilly Michelle Wease, 35, and Tavaras Poindexter, 21, both of Cadiz, were formally indicted on one count each of first-degree complicity to robbery. The two are accused of robbing Carolyn Brown – the wife of the owner of the restaurant – at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

According to initial reports from the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, two men waited outside between two cars and grabbed Brown’s purse, which contained money from Timbers and her personal items, before leaving. The reports also indicated that Wease, an employee of Timbers, was connected to the robbery.

The two men were described as black males wearing all black, with one wearing a black hat and the other wearing a white hat. Both Wease and Poindexter were arrested days after the robbery, with Poindexter being found in Fargo, N.D.; a third unnamed suspect is still at large.
