James Howard died of natural causes at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1935, in Princeton to Virgil W. Tyler and Susie E. Oliver Monday.
James Howard was of the Baptist faith. He was a farmer and was a steel worker for Chrysler Corp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Tyler; step-father Roy Monday; step-mother Dorothy Elizabeth Tyler; four brothers, Knott Tyler, Edward Tyler, Ralph Tyler and Frankie Tyler; sister Lucille Drennan; and son Paul Ed Tyler.
James is survived by brother Kenny Tyler of Island; three sisters, Kathy Sue Vargo and Diane Tyler Buehler, both of Cadiz, and Rita Wyngarden of Camarillo, Calif.; step-sister Carol Miller of North Park, Fla.; two sons, James Howard “Snub” Tyler, Jr., of Dawson Springs and Steven Wayne Tyler of Cadiz; three daughters, Ruby Holloway and David Sholar of Cadiz, Sally Rambo (and husband Randy) of Dawson Springs and Linda Russell (and husband Will) of Cadiz; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Rambo, John Buehler, David Hargrove, Jamie Adams, Mikey Johnson, Jessie Ray Hargrove, Matt Russell, Kenneth Rains. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Rambo, Paul Holloway, David Sholar, Ricky Hamilton, Timmy Vargo and Michael Vargo. Music will be provided by Clarissa King, pianist.
