Funeral services for Nellie C. Wilson, 94, of Cadiz, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. The Revs. Jim Hazelrigg and Tim Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nellie Wilson died of natural causes at 12:56 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville.

Nellie was born on Aug. 22, 1919, in Trigg County to Ewel and Myrtle Thompson Crisp.

Mrs. Nellie C. Wilson was a lifetime member as well as the oldest member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. She served as Sunday school secretary for 40 years at Liberty Point Baptist Church. Nellie was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Plomer Crenshaw Wilson, Sr.; brother Woodrow Crisp; son Plomer Wilson, Jr.; and son-in-law Russell Heltsley, Jr.

Nellie is survived by one son, Harold Wilson (and wife Beverly) of Cadiz; one daughter, Helen Heltsley of Hopkinsville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Shelbyville; grandchildren Karen Reinhart, Alan Wilson, Sherri Kovach, Russell King Heltsley, III, John Wilson Heltsley, Lesli Hatley and Kevin Wilson; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Wilson, Russell Heltsley, III, John Wilson Heltsley, Kevin Wilson, Sam Kovach and Kevin Hatley.
