Nellie Wilson died of natural causes at 12:56 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville.
Nellie was born on Aug. 22, 1919, in Trigg County to Ewel and Myrtle Thompson Crisp.
Mrs. Nellie C. Wilson was a lifetime member as well as the oldest member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. She served as Sunday school secretary for 40 years at Liberty Point Baptist Church. Nellie was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Plomer Crenshaw Wilson, Sr.; brother Woodrow Crisp; son Plomer Wilson, Jr.; and son-in-law Russell Heltsley, Jr.
Nellie is survived by one son, Harold Wilson (and wife Beverly) of Cadiz; one daughter, Helen Heltsley of Hopkinsville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Shelbyville; grandchildren Karen Reinhart, Alan Wilson, Sherri Kovach, Russell King Heltsley, III, John Wilson Heltsley, Lesli Hatley and Kevin Wilson; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Wilson, Russell Heltsley, III, John Wilson Heltsley, Kevin Wilson, Sam Kovach and Kevin Hatley.
