After splitting their first six games of the season, the Trigg County Wildcats will open Class 3A 1st District play Friday at Webster County.

Trigg (3-3) enters the game after its bye week, which came after a 44-8 win Sept. 27 at Hopkins County Central. The Trojans (1-5) were also last week and earned their only win of the season in Week One against Hopkins Central by a score of 19-14.

Through six games, Trigg’s offense is led by Jayven Jones, who has rushed for 710 yards and nine touchdowns. Quarterback Luke McKenzie has completed 58 of 136 passes for 829 yards and seven touchdowns. Four Wildcats – Jones, Reggie Radford, Quentin Bird and Tyreak Wilson – have caught at least 10 passes, led by Radford with 12 receptions for 277 yards and two scores.
