Funeral services for J.J. Cummins, Jr., 81, of Princeton, were held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Revs. Rodney Wallace and Ronnie Sivells officiated. Burial followed in the Blue Spring Church Cemetery. Morgan’s Funeral Home of Princeton was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Cummins died following a long illness on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Caldwell County Medical Center.

He was a retired correctional officer for Kentucky State Penitentiary, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 82.

Mr. Cummins was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Rosman and Robbie Mitchell Cummins; and one sister, Pearl Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie Lambert Cummins of Princeton; one sister, Ethelyne Bennett of Decatur, Ill.; one son, Ken Cummins (and wife Tammy) of Princeton; two daughters, Cathy Hopper of Princeton and Connie Haberlock (and husband Jeff) of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Suzanne Hopper, Michael Haberlock, Mary Wilson, Elizabeth Campbell, Joe Haberlock, Zack Cummins, Hannah Holden and Andrew Cummins; and several nieces and nephews.
