Magistrates on the Trigg County Fiscal Court and members of the Cadiz City Council will update the county and city alcohol ordinances at meetings November and December – almost four years since the county passed its original ordinance.
Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander said changes in the state alcohol laws in June will affect Trigg County’s alcohol ordinance. Cadiz City Clerk Lisa Rogers said the Cadiz City Council will also update the city’s ordinance.
One anticipated change to the county ordinance concerns alcohol sales all day on Election Day. Currently, alcohol sales are only permitted after poll close at 6 p.m., said Alexander, who added that most of the changes will be administrative in nature.
