Funeral services for Franklin Skinner, Sr., 86, of Hopkinsville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. David Tucker will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow in the East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Franklin Skinner died of natural causes at 2:09 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

Franklin was born on Aug. 21, 1927, in Trigg County to Walter Calvin and Lona Mae Thomas Skinner.

Mr. Skinner had operated a taxi service in Cadiz known as Frankie’s Cab and also in Hopkinsville and Ft. Campbell. Franklin was a member of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville and he was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Hunter Skinner; brother Lacy Skinner; sisters Virginia Collier and Pauline Bridges; and son-in-law Willie Seago.

Franklin Skinner is survived by his brother W. C. Skinner of Cadiz; sister Christine Adams of Cadiz; two daughters, Judy Seago of Hopkinsville and Kathy Greenier of Hopkinsville; two sons, Franklin Skinner, Jr. of Hopkinsville and Tim Skinner of Hopkinsville; nine grandchildren, April Kushner, Michael Kushner, T.K. Greenier, Daniel Skinner, Leigh Ann McCormick, Frankie Skinner, Katherine Skinner, Dec. Skinner and Taylor Skinner; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Skinner, Colby Green, Frankie Skinner, Everett White, J.D. Davis and Edward Taylor.
