Halloween Safe Night started off slow but ended very busily, said Cadiz Renaissance Director Leida Underhill.

Several people, businesses and organizations, including the Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County Farm Bureau, Fred’s Discount Store, State Farm Insurance, H.B. Quinn, Attorney; Goodwin Insurance, Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, Lake Barkley Insurance, and Trio Signs were involved with Halloween Safe Night this year, which was rescheduled to Friday due to Thursday’s weather forecast.

“Safe Night went really well,” Sergeant Scott Brown of the Cadiz Police Department said. “The decision to move it back a day was the right one. We estimate between 3,500 and 4,00 people downtown. The Cadiz Police Department handed out nearly 1,400 safety glow bracelets to the children and just had enough.”
