Funeral services for Ambie Sue Freeman, 91, of Paducah, formerly of Cadiz, were held on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah. The Revs. Bob Berkley and Curtis Garner officiated. Burial was in the Clarks River Cemetery. Milner & Orr Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Ambie Freeman died at 8:20 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Morningside in Paducah.

Mrs. Freeman was a member of Free Gospel Church and retired from Normandy Manufacturing where she was a seamstress. She was a volunteer for 25 years at Lourdes Hospital, and was a member of Paducah Ambassadors, the red Hat Society and was a Dutchess of Paducah and Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Challie B. Freeman; her parents, James Ennis and Cora Alice Merrick Swatzell; and four brothers, Marvin Swatzell, Owen Swatzell, Thomas Swatzell and Bill Swatzell.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hunter (and husband Darrell) of West Paducah; one grandson, Greg Hunter of Murray; a special friend, Sue Oreskovich of West Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
