CROSS COUNTRY: Trigg runners compete at state championship meet

Trigg County High School cross country runners competed Saturday in the Class AA state championship meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Trigg’s girls team, which qualified by finishing fourth in the 1st Region championship meet, was led by Bethany Morgan, who finished 119th with a time of 23:24.91. Trigg’s other runners were Breanna Barnes (146th, 24:20.81), Gracie Hill (177th, 25:11.54), Libby Redd (194th, 26:04.06), Koryn Hatfield (198th, 26:17.13) and Heather Hall (215th, 29:25.28). Trigg finished 26th as a team.

Trigg qualified two boys runners as individuals – Ethan Dossett, who finished 91st in 18:43.88, and Austin Pugh, who took 141st in 19:21.19.
