The Trigg County American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 74 and the Voice for the Animals Trigg County Humane Society held its first Pets on Parade project Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Renaissance Stage in downtown Cadiz.

Bill Booth of WKDZ was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Booth spaces were also available at no charge. Thirty-five dogs took to the stage with their owners, most of them wearing costumes and on their best behavior.

Best Overall winners were as follows: First Place Best Overall went to Babe, a long-haired Dachshund owned by Georgia Swatzell; first runner-up was Rumples, a Shih tzu owned by Angela and Lonnie Killebrew; and second runner-up was Roxy, a Chihuahua-mix owned by David Hazelmyer. As First Place Best Overall Winner, Babe could be seen riding in a golf cart in this year’s Veterans Day Parade that was held Monday.
