Ms. Fits member Dannye Wagner said that this fundraiser, one of many the team does every year, raises money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Trigg County. Specifically, they are used for cancer research and for cancer patient services.
“Each year more research discoveries are made and this motivates us to continue until we win this fight,” said Wagner. “We sell out every year, usually a month in advance. People actually buy the tickets by tables of eight and we don’t really have to advertise because they come back year after year.”
The fashion show was different this year, however, in that small businesses in the community and general area were prioritized. The Wild Zebra, the Blue Heron and the Cumberland Place, all of Cadiz, provided clothing for the models this year, as did the Joshua Tree Dress Shop in Princeton.
