Funeral services for Aubra Cruse, 90, of Dukedom, Tenn., formerly of Princeton, were held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom. The Rev. Ronald Cruse officiated. Burial followed in the Pinegar Cemetery.

Aubra Cruse died at 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton.

Aubra was born on Jan. 5, 1923, in Graves County to John and Lou Della Buck Cruse.

He was a member of Southern Missionary Baptist Church and was a police officer for Union City, South Fulton, Martin and Humboldt, Tenn. He lived most of his life in this area.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Rubin Earl Cruse, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Mary Viola McClain Cruse; one son, Randle Cruse (and wife Wilma) of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Rubin Earl Cruse, Jr. of Redding, Calif., Jason Eric Cruse of Los Angeles, Calif., John Aubra Cruse of Paintville, William Marcus Cruse and Tracy Jane Sabatino, both of Cadiz; and eight great-grandchildren.
