Trigg County High School’s basketball teams competed in their first pre-season scrimmage last week.

The Wildcats traveled to Bowling Green on Thursday for a pair of three-quarter scrimmages. Trigg lost 41-39 to Bowling Green, with Cole Gardner leading the ‘Cats with 13 points, Brien Dossett adding 11 and Corbin Estes scoring eight. Trigg then topped Todd County Central 42-23, led by Debo Mayes with 13, Dentavion Day with eight and Tyreke Wilson with six.

“Very proud of our effort and intensity,” Trigg head coach Payton Croft said. “We were able to play 11 kids In the two scrimmages. We all saw some very good things throughout the night as well as several things we can improve on. We all want instant success, but I have to constantly remind myself it is November and this is a process. I’m proud of our men and hope to see continued growth in our next scrimmage.”
