Louise Littlejohn Birdsong died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at her home in Cadiz.
Mrs. Birdsong was a homemaker and had worked at Elk Brand Manufacturing, the former Sunset Inn in Golden Pond, and at the cafeteria at the old Golden Pond School. She was a member of South Union Baptist Church where she and her husband had served as the church representative with the Little River Baptist Association. She was also a member of Ophelia Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey H. Littlejohn and Emma Lane Littlejohn; and five brothers, Nelson Littlejohn, Ernest Littlejohn, Hollis Littlejohn, James Ray Littlejohn and Charles Littlejohn.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Boyce Birdsong of Cadiz; brother Woody Littlejohn (and wife Trudy) of Cadiz; one son, Ted Birdsong (and wife Tina); one daughter, Nancy Johnston (and husband Scott), all of Cadiz; grandchildren, Kendal Birdsong, Emaly and Blake Reynolds, Matthew and Antoinette Skinner, Aubrey Woodruff, Nicholas and Heather Woodruff; three great-grandchildren, Sebastian Skinner, Alex Skinner and Dominic Skinner.
Serving as pallbearers were David Nelson Littlejohn, Gerald Littlejohn, Jason Littlejohn, Jake Thomas, Matthew Skinner, Alex Skinner, Sebastian Skinner and Monte Birdsong. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Nicholas Woodruff, Aubrey Woodruff, Kendal Birdsong, Emaly Reynolds, Dominic Skinner, Gina Littlejohn, Dakota Littlejohn, Ann Ezell and Antoinette Skinner.
