Another judge in the 56th Judicial District and another magistrate on the Trigg County Fiscal Court decided recently to run for another term of office.

Last Wednesday, 56th District, Division Two, Judge Jill Clark officially filed her paperwork for a fifth term. She was first elected in 1998, when she defeated District Judge Chappell Wilson. Trigg, Caldwell, Livingston and Lyon Counties are in the 56th Judicial District.

Clark is the second judge presiding over Trigg County to file. On Thursday, Nov. 21, 56th District, Division One, Judge Jamus Redd filed for a third term. He was appointed in 2006 to fill the remainder of Bill McCaslin’s term.

And earlier this week, District Five Magistrate Richard Nelson (R) filed for a second term on the Trigg County Fiscal Court.
