The Trigg County Ambulance Service has been administering Toys For Tots for roughly 33 years, and this year they will be giving a Christmas to 204 children.

That is what Ambulance Service Director Allen Jones said Tuesday morning. He said that the support for Toys For Tots from this community has always been incredible and has been at least as great this year.

“I just can’t say enough about the outpour from the community, from the leaders, hospital administrators, the [Trigg County] Fiscal Court, the [Cadiz] City Council. Everybody pulled together this year to really make this, in my mind, one of the most successful Toys For Tots campaigns that I’ve been involved with.”

The deadline for applications was 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, said Jones. He also noted that their number of applicants is up a little bit from last year, and the community is just as giving as it has always been.
