Trigg County High School’s boys basketball team traveled to Murray last Tuesday for the Wildcats’ final pre-season scrimmage and won 70-61.

Among the expected varsity leaders this season are Brien Dossett, Corbin Estes, Luke McKenzie, Demaria Nance, Debo Mayes, Dentaveon Day and Cole Gardner.

Gardner scored 21 at Murray and Day added 14. The ‘Cats went 16-for-18 from the free throw line.

Trigg opened the 2013-14 regular season Tuesday with a girl-boy doubleheader against Dawson Springs (results unavailable at press time) and are scheduled to play another doubleheader Friday at 5th District rival Crittenden County.
