The Historical Downtown Shopping District of Cadiz experienced its most successful event of the year with the business’s Shop Small Saturday Cookie Exchange.

At the end of the business day we only had 8 cookie boxes out of 100 left, said event coordinator, Susan Sheley, who adds a thank you to Bill Stevens for his support of the event by supplying the cookie boxes.

Downtown shops reported excellent sales, happy customers and a special atmosphere that they haven’t experienced before. Many reported that during the two days, Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday their sales accounted for up to one third of last year’s November sales.

Susan Sheley, Manager of Cadiz Comfort Zone was chosen by American Express to be a Neighborhood Coordinator for this year’s event.
