Teresa Black died of natural causes at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2013, at her home in Cadiz.
She was born on June 21, 1954 in Opelika, Ala., to Olin Parks Jenkins and Ella Mae Griffith Jenkins.
Teresa was a member of Ponderosa Baptist Church and had worked in the deli at Hancock’s Mor For Less in Cadiz. Teresa loved to dance and sing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ed Jackson, and one daughter, Tina Louise Black.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 25 years, Clyde “Sonny” Black of Cadiz; brothers George Anthony Palmer of Opelika, Ala. and Olin LaDale Jenkins of Costa Mesa, Calif.; sisters Peggy Ingram of Columbus, Ga., Jacqueline Crandell of North Hollywood, Calif. and Robin Palmer of Opelika, Ala.; sons Russell Thomas Black (and wife Helen) of Hemet, Calif. and Dale Edward Black of Cadiz; daughter Kristina Marie Jackson of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
