Linda Hancock Thomas died on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Saint Thomas Medical Center West in Nashville, Tenn.
Mrs. Thomas was the co-owner of the Kentucky Smokehouse Restaurant and Cadiz Drywall. She was a member of Dyers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Hancock and Aug.a Carpenter Hancock; brothers Tom Hancock, Charles Hancock, Lewis Hancock, Ernest “De De” Hancock, Leslie Hancock, Doug Hancock and Roy Hancock; sisters Ann Hardy, Margurite Hancock and Laura Humphries.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis Thomas of Cadiz; two brothers, Bob L. Hancock and Franklin D. Hancock, both of Cadiz; three sisters, Mary Edmonds, Judy Edmonds and Helen Hite, all of Cadiz; one son, Denny Thomas (and wife Sherry); daughter Dana Thomas Erickson and Karl Erickson, all of Cadiz; and three grandchildren, Chastity Thomas, Nickolas Erickson and Isabella Erickson.
Serving as active pallbearers were Nick Erickson, Nicky Edmonds, Josh Hancock, Steve Thomas, David Hardy, Milburn Hardy, Rodney Heaton and Ray Grasty. Honorary pallbearers were David Hite, Tommy Calhoun, Ray Burnam, Sr., Tim Holder and Paul Davis. Music was provided by Teresa Simpson.
