Dorothy Tooke died of natural causes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Franciscan Health Center in Louisville.
Dorothy was born on April 12, 1924, in Trigg County to John Herbert Wyatt and Della Hester Wyatt Armstrong Rogers.
Dorothy was a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church. She retired from Trigg Manor Nursing Home in February 1994 as administrator. She was a LPN nurse for 30 years. She was awarded the Who’s Who World Wide Membership in 1992. Dorothy loved her many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Tooke.
She is survived by her brother, Lynwood Armstrong of Louisville; sister Norma Dean Alexander of Louisville; nephew Michael Alexander (and wife Pam) of Cadiz; three nieces, Toni Alexander of Portland, Ore., Stephanie Smith of Louisville and Hope Levdanisky (and husband David) of Corydon, Ind.; two great nieces, Casey Alexander of Lexington and Jade Alexander of Louisville; three great nephews, Chris Alexander of Murray, Joey Buffomontee and Daniel Buffomontee, both of Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Alexander, Chris Alexander, Kenneth Alexander, Brandon Alexander, Barry Alexander and Malcolm Ray Thomas. Music was provided by Clarissa King, pianist.
