Charles Ingram, Jr., died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Charles worked at the Federal Aviation Administration working as a civilian air traffic controller at Louisville, Miami, Fla., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and most recently at Ft. Campbell Army Airfield, where he retired as a supervisor. Charles also worked as tower manager at Williamson County, Ill., Regional Airport. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one sister in infancy, Cathy Louise Ingram.
Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Beach Ingram of Cadiz; parents Charles Forest Ingram, Sr. and Mildred Louise Bowers Ingram of Bowling Green; brother Glen Ingram (and wife Belinda) of Morgantown; three sisters, Betty Faye Ingram of Bowling Green, Violet Kay Rountree (and husband Gordon) of Brownsville and Marilyn Roseberry (and husband Dean) of Carlisle; son Kevin Ingram (and wife Amy) of Hermitage, Tenn.; daughter Amy Thompson (and husband Antonio) of Clarksville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Madeline, Julian and Sophia Thompson and Reed Ingram.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Ingram, Jason Ingram, Darren Ingram, Dan Ingram, Jordan Cox and Chase Cox. Music was provided by Gary Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to: Cadiz Baptist Church, P.O. Box 606, Cadiz, KY 42211.
