Trigg County High School’s girls basketball team saw its record drop to 1-2 after a 47-25 loss Friday at Livingston Central and a 41-28 loss Saturday against Carlisle County.

The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to host Lyon County on Tuesday (results unavailable at press time).

Friday, Trigg held close to 5th District rival Livingston through the first half despite a terrible shooting night, trailing 16-10 at the break while hitting only four of 24 shots attempts. The Lady Cardinals pushed their lead to double digits in the third quarter and outscored Trigg 17-7 in the fourth to put the game away.

Mallory Mize was the only Lady ‘Cat in double figures with 17 points. She also had a game-high six steals.

Saturday, Trigg continued to struggle on offense against the Lady Comets. The Lady ‘Cats trailed 22-17 at halftime but managed only 11 points in the second half.
