Chapter 1730 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees met on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at the Weaver’s Hunting Lodge.

Longtime members, Clyde and Nadine Weaver hosted the Christmas Potluck Luncheon in their cozy lodge. The lodge is a wonderful retreat in the countryside, decorated with hunting memorabilia and many beautiful trophies.

President Richard Pauze welcomed Dan and Jean Thompson and Gary and Carol Rocca. He also presented the new chapter officers for 2014. Officers will be installed at the January 2014 chapter meeting. Nadine gave out the door prizes.

The Christmas Luncheon in such a lovely surrounding was a delightful ending to the year’s Chapter Activities. Chapter 1730 thanks the Weaver’s for their gracious hospitality.

NARFE continues to fight to protect the benefits of active and retired federal employees. They keep their members informed about legislative issues pending in congress and stay in close contact with congressional representatives.
