Funeral services for William “Bill” Adams, 97, of Princeton, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at the funeral home. The Rev. Franklin Skaggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Blue Spring Church Cemetery.

William Adams died following a short illness at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at New Haven Assisted Living Nursing Center.

William was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1916, in Trigg County to Clint Adams and Icye Belle Mitchell Adams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mitchell Adams; three brothers and one sister.

Mr. Adams is survived by one son, David Adams (and wife Karen) of Princeton; two daughters, Nina Wargel (and husband Ron) of Evansville, Ind. and Nancy Lacey of Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
