Trigg County Clerk Dorris McGill said voters who wish to change their political party affiliation must do so on or before Tuesday, Dec. 31 to remain eligible to vote in the May Primary. The clerk’s office will be closed that day, so any voter who plans to make a change in office must do so by 4 p.m. Monday. Voters may also obtain a voter registration card online at elect.ky.gov and mail it to the clerk’s office. Cards containing party changes must be postmarked on or before Dec. 31 for the voter to be eligible to vote in the May Primary.
First-time voters or voters who need to make an address change may do so until April 21, 30 days prior to the Primary.
Trigg County Surveyor Randle Cruse is the only elected official to have filed for the upcoming Primary in the last week. Cruse, who is currently unopposed, will be on the May 30 Primary ballot.
