“They’ve done some site work, and they’ve put in a door to the gymnasium,” Ladd said. “They have the barricades up, so I think we’re on schedule as of right now.”
Construction started on the first day of the winter break – Thursday, Dec. 19 – and is hoped to be “fully closed out” by Wednesday, July 30, with basic construction to be finished a month earlier than that, Ladd said. However, because of construction, dropoffs will be near the construction zone.
Ladd says that when students come back on Thursday, the barricades that surround the construction zone will still be up, and there will be additional site work and possible road work. But he says students will be prepared, and there shouldn’t be too many headaches.
