Funeral services for Norma Jean Lehman, 82, of Benton, were held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Danny Holt officiated.

Burial with full military honors followed in the Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray.

Norma Lehman died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Caldwell County Hospital in Murray.

Norma Jean was born on June 6, 1931, in Springfield, Mass., to Henry Godfrey and Edith Patchett Godfrey.

She was the dietary supervisor at Calvert City Convalescent Center, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Matthew by the Lake Lutheran Church and was a member of the Marshall County Lakeshore Homeowners. She was a United States Army veteran.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Godfrey.

Norma is survived by three daughters, Darlene Timmons (and husband Harland) of Grand Rivers, Debra Rowley of Marion and Donna Shields (and husband Les) of Oak Grove; one son, Donald Lehman (and wife Betty) of Glasgow; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
