Kentucky Department of Parks Spokesman Gil Lawson said they’ve been in charge of eagle tours around Land Between the Lakes for around 40 years. One of the great things about the eagle tours is that it is a winter activity.
“Parks are always trying to do programs like this, wildlife education and outreach,” Lawson said. “In the winter, parks are traditionally fairly quiet. So this allows us to have something to do in the wintertime.”
The yacht tour is $50 per person, but van tours are also available. The 96-foot-long yacht – the CQ Princess – holds 75 people. Reservations and full deposits are required for all trips. Call 270-924-2020 for details and reservations. Because eagle excursions are very popular, early reservations are encouraged. Gift certificates are available.
