Funeral services for Ronald Gene Moore, 67, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Anthony Jolly officiated. Burial with military honors followed in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Christian County. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Moore died of natural causes at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at his home in Cadiz.

Ronald Moore was born on Aug. 30, 1946, in Madisonville to Dewey Cleo Moore and Mary Magdalene Hayes Moore.

Ronald was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church; a United States Navy veteran having served in Vietnam; he had been a Hopkinsville City police officer and detective; a captain with TVA Patrol in Land Between The Lakes; he attended the FBI National Academy 125th session; he was a Kentucky Colonel; and a retired special agent for the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, infant brother Billy Joe Moore, Harold Vernon Moore and James Edward Moore.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nora Jane Holt Moore of Cadiz; brother Don Moore (and wife Linda) of Hopkinsville; son Mike Moore (and wife Kim) of Amite, La.; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Caitlyn, Cassidy and Craig Golman of Amite, La.; and one great-grandchild, Alayna Golman, also of Amite, La.

Serving as pallbearers were Bud Moore, Pete Moore, Brandon Moore, Nathan Clinkenbeard, Darin Moore, Jason Moore and Brad Moore. Music was provided by Brice Long, vocalist and Clarissa King, pianist.
