Friday, the Wildcats topped Crittenden County 57-48, giving Trigg an undefeated record in district play for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
Against Calloway, Trigg led by one point after the first quarter but were outscored in each of the next three frames and were torched by Connor Wagner, who finished with 29 points.
Cole Gardner led Trigg in scoring with 24 points, followed by Demaria Nance with 16 and Tae Day with 14.
Against Crittenden, the ‘Cats had to fight back twice to put the game away. Trigg trailed by five points in the first quarter before a Luke McKenzie three-point play and a Gardner buzzer-beating three-pointer put the ‘Cats ahead by one at the end of the first quarter.
