Kay Dunn died following a short illness at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Kay was on born Dec. 7, 1940, in Canton to Troy Hamilton Hendricks and Garvie Jefferson Lancaster Hendricks.
She was a member of Canton Baptist Church and attended East Cadiz Baptist Church. Kay had been a nurse at Shady Lawn Nursing Home and was a retired nurse from Caldwell County Hospital after 37 years. Kay also had been employed at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market and had been a volunteer in Land Between The Lakes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Forrest Dunn; two sisters, Margaret Jefferson Hendricks in infancy and Mary Ann Hendricks; and one brother, Troy Jr. Hendricks in infancy.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Dunn (and wife Cindy) of Princeton and Donald Dunn (and wife Lisa) of Bowling Green; and one granddaughter, Kala Dunn of New Concord.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Oakley, Terry King, Tommy Hanberry, Steve Mallory, David Hardy, Milburn Hardy and Tommy Major. Music was provided by Clarence King, pianist.
