Clarence Gray died following a long illness at 12:45 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at his home.
Clarence was born on April 13, 1923, in Lyon County to Claudus White Gray and Mattie Ramey Gray.
He was a member of Lamasco Baptist Church. He was the oldest living member of Parkersville Masonic Lodge No. 484 F&AM for 69 years, a member of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and member of Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 82. He was also a life-long farmer in Lamasco.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie Earle Oliver Gray: second wife, Mary Daytha Fortner Gray; brother Isaac Gray; and sister Priscilla Gray.
He is survived by one sister, Wanda Vance of Hettick, Ill.; two daughters, Peggy Adams of Lamasco and Connie Robertson of Lexington; step-son, Rollie Fortner and Sammie Ann of Princeton; step-daughter, Brenda Pepper and Michael of Caldwell County; five grandchildren, Denise Wilbourn and Tony of Paducah, Barry Hungerford and Brandi of Mayfield, Scott Robertson and Stacy of Lexington, Manny Robertson of Lexington, Jacquelyn Young and Tino of Eddyville; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two nieces and nephews.
