But roads had cleared enough earlier this week that school re-opened, and the Fiscal Court and City Council met Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander thanked emergency responders in the county for their work to clean up the damage.
Some electric customers were also without power, but power to all customers was restored by Thursday.
Land Between the Lakes National Recreational Area was also closed when it lost power on Wednesday, but it re-opened on Friday after power was restored, said LBL Media Contact Denise Schmittou, who added that there were trees and power lines that were downed because of the ice storm.
