In spite of cold and uncooperative weather, organizers of the Chocolate Affair, an annual fundraiser for the Janice Mason Art Museum, were pleased with how many people attended.

“It was a lovely evening and those who braved the cold to attend really enjoyed the decadent fare,” said JMAM Executive Director Megan Nesbit.

The event, held every year near Valentine’s Day, is held at Fairholme, the John Street House on 89 Main St. As the name suggests, it features chocolate. There is a chocolate fountain, and people can buy chocolate treats by the pound.

“As always, the museum relies on the efforts of our Board and volunteers who devote many hours, including everyone who made the delicious chocolates and those who helped work the event,” Nesbit said. “We’re grateful to them and to all of our supporters who purchased tickets to the event, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”
