Chapter Chaplain Clyde Weaver gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The January minutes were read by Secretary Glenda Foster and members approved the minutes.
President Pauze discussed the 2014 Kentucky Federation of Chapters Convention being held in Louisville on April 8 – 10. All NARFE members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Jim Mustian spoke about the latest Alzheimer’s news and our donation each month to the Alzheimer’s Association. Jim Mustian gave the Treasurer’s report.
Pauze introduced our speaker, Lee Foster, an archaeologist who served in the Pentagon as the Deputy Federal Preservation Officer for the Department of the Army. He spoke about his work with the Defense Native American Integrated Product Team in drafting policy on the Department of Defense’s working relations with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes, as well as Native Hawaiian Organizations.
